Our mission is to bridge the gap to safety for victims of organized abuse and family-controlled trafficking
41%
of Human Trafficking victims report that their trafficking began with a parent or caregiver.
Organized abuse
Organized abuse is a serious but poorly understood form of sexual violence against children. Organized abuse involves multiple adults who conspire to sexually abuse one or more children. Organized abuse can include the sexual exchange of children between perpetrators as well as the production and distribution of child sexual abuse material.*

Family-controlled human trafficking
Family-controlled trafficking takes place within family networks and victimizes children. A family member (a father, mother, grandparent, uncle, or aunt) or a guardian (a foster parent or parent’s intimate partner) facilitates the human trafficking of a child.
Parents or other family members allow sexual offenders to sexually abuse the victim in exchange for money, goods, or services. Caregivers often produce child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or “child pornography” of their children to sell, trade, or post online in exchange for money or other resources.*

“if you don’t believe that it is possible for children to be sexually abused (in this way) by the men in their lives, then you don’t see the signs even when they are staring at you in the face.”
